Betsy was the first horse on the farm. She came to the farm when an uncle passed away and she needed a new home. She taught all the kids in the family to ride. Her last foal was Kelly's Ginger which is the favorite trail horse for family and visitors to the farm. Betsy never really showed her age until 1996 when it became more difficult to keep her weight up. We began feeding her special feed and really pampering her. Betsy died on a very wintry February morning at the amazing age of 38.
